Abstract

Ethnic nationalism is one of the most challenging terms in the today''s and modern world, confronting various countries with numerous difficulties, Because, based on an ethnic perspective, it draws a line of distinction between itself and others.This becomes even more significant when ethnic identity-seeking groups in multi-ethnic countries, drawing upon ethnic nationalism and its inherent elements such as separatism, resort to violence and terrorism within their target society. This phenomenon not only poses a threat to the internal stability of countries but can also sometimes lead to escalating regional and international tensions.Iran is one of the countries that For several centuries Diverse ethnic groups Has had within its geographical expanse Which at certain periods With the emergence of groups that had cultural and ethnic ties to these groups Created significant challenges to the country''s territorial integrity. One of these groups is PJAK (Party for a Free Life in Kurdistan) which despite having cross-border origins, exploits ethnic sentiments to incite unrest in the Kurdish regions of the country and, as part of these actions, engages in violence and terrorist activities. This group utilizes propaganda strategies and communication networks to expand its influence and garner local support. Given the mentioned propositions, the aim of this research is to examine PJAK From the position of a terrorist group, within the context of ethnic nationalism. The research question is how does PJAK utilize its ideological foundations for terrorist activities? The research hypothesis is based on this principle the research hypothesis is based on this principlethat PJAK engages in terrorist activities by relying on the foundations of ethnic nationalism. The applied method is descriptive-analytical, relying on library and internet sources.
