چکیده

این پژوهش به بررسی تأثیرات اصلاحات عثمانی بر ساختار و سازمان حوزۀ علمیۀ نجف در دورۀ زمانی 1839-1911 (1255-1327ق.) می‌پردازد. اصلاحات عثمانی که با هدف نوسازی و تمرکزگرایی طراحی شده بود، نه‌تنها بر ساختار حکومتی، اجتماعی و دینی امپراتوری عثمانی تأثیرگذار بود، بلکه تأثیرات عمیقی بر نهادهای دینی به‌ویژه حوزۀ علمیه نجف گذاشت. در این راستا، هدف اصلی تحقیق تحلیل نحوۀ طراحی و اجرای این اصلاحات به‌دست دولت عثمانی و واکنش‌های دینی علمای نجف به این تحولات است. همچنین، هدف دیگر پژوهش بررسی چگونگی حفظ هویت دینی و علمی حوزۀ علمیۀ نجف در برابر فشارهای اصلاحی است که در پی اعمال نظام‌های مدرن و مرکزی توسط دولت عثمانی به وجود آمد. فرضیۀ تحقیق این است که به‌رغم تلاش‌های دولت عثمانی برای تغییر ساختارهای دینی و آموزشی، حوزۀ علمیۀ نجف با استفاده از ابزارهای فقهی و دینی خود توانست استقلال خود را حفظ کند. روش تحقیق به‌کاررفته در این پژوهش، روش تاریخی با رویکرد توصیفی ـ تحلیلی است که با تکیه بر اسناد، مکاتبات و متون فکری منتشرشده از سوی علمای نجف سعی در تبیین مسئلۀ تحقیق دارد. یافته‌های تحقیق نشان می‌دهد که اصلاحات عثمانی، به‌ویژه در زمینه‌های قضایی، آموزشی و مالی، فشارهایی جدی به استقلال حوزۀ علمیۀ نجف وارد کرد؛ اما این سیاست‌های اصلاحی، که با هدف تقویت دولت مرکزی و ایجاد نظام‌های مدرن طراحی شده بود، در عمل با واکنش علمای نجف مواجه شد و نه‌تنها آنان هویت دینی و علمی خود را حفظ کردند بلکه اقدامات آنان باعث تقویت هویت مقاومتی حوزۀ علمیۀ نجف و تقویت جایگاه آن در سطح جهانی شد.
